Like many Chicago based Power Pop-Rock musicians before him, Steve Ramone plied his trade in and around the Midwest for many years before signing with a major label in 2020 (Pavement Entertainment). Dealing in sweet but edgy 3-minute pop-anthems that are the hallmark of the South Side music scene, Ramone built a loyal following by delivering high energy, easy to enjoy performances backed by a crack band comprised of some of the best musicians from Chicago and Nashville.
The safe return of live music promises a busy schedule for Ramone in 2021; his first full length release on Pavement, live shows with the Steve Ramone Band and Heroes, session work as an acoustic guitarist and touring commitments as guitarist/vocalist with Frontier Records recording artist Enuff Z'Nuff will have him traveling from coast to coast as well as overseas.
Regardless of the format, it’s worth knowing that he treats them all the same and puts every bit of skill, creativity and love for the arts into everything he does. It shows – you need to hear it and see it for yourself.
"This guy is the REAL DEAL for in your face rock n' roll at it's best!"
- Backstage Chicago
“I like writing and playing songs that are inviting, whether it’s a hook or a phrase – whatever – songs that get people smiling and dancing. If I’m up there and I see you tapping your foot, paying attention… it makes all the difference in the world to me…”
